RIP to the “AI Look” in Generated Images
The “AI Look” is officially dead.
You know what I’m talking about. Photos that look overly saturated and colorful, with absurdly beautiful people, beautiful light, glowing edges, and an Anime-like feel.
Ones like this:

Maybe that’s what your kid looks like when they play with your dog (If so, you should probably start one of those bespoke YouTube channels where parents film themselves going around looking beautiful and put together all the time and monetize the art of making everyone else feel bad).
Most likely, though, your kid playing with your dog looks more like this:

The kicker is that both of those are AI images. The first one just happens to have the “AI Look”, while the second one doesn’t.
Why? The first one was made by Midjourney v6, and the second by the brand new Midjourney V7.
With this new update to Midjourney, the “AI Look” is officially dead—if you know how to prompt the system properly.
